Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s House Burned Down
On Tuesday, rapidly spreading wildfires engulfed large swaths of Southern California, including Pasadena and the celebrity-packed Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles. In the path of the flames was the home of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, who’d evacuated earlier in the day with their two children. According to TMZ, the family, who often posted updates of their home life, lost their entire house.
Pratt and his sister both shared updates about the blaze on Tuesday, with Pratt narrating on Snapchat that he was “watching our house burn down on the security cameras.” His sister, Stephanie, wrote on Instagram, “Just spoke to my dad - he tried to save my brother’s house but the wind is so strong there was nothing he could do.”
Montag and Pratt are far from the only celebrities affected by the California wildfires, which are ripping through a notoriously famous enclave of L.A. More than 80,000 residents have been ordered to evacuate, including Eugene Levy, JJ Redick, and James Woods. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Ben Affleck, Miles Teller, Adam Sandler, Reese Witherspoon, and Michael Keaton all reportedly live in the Palisades.
In one news clip from Tuesday, actor Steve Guttenberg — also a resident of the area — spoke with reporters while helping to move abandoned cars to the side of the road so fire trucks could get through. “Everybody’s gotta band together now,” Guttenberg said. “Just get out.”
