Pittsfield School Committee holds first meeting since retaining law firm
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) -- The Pittsfield School Committee held its first meeting since hiring an outside law firm to investigate allegations of misconduct against school staff.
The committee voted during a special meeting in December to retain the firm. There will be two investigations: one will focus on the misconduct; the other will look into the district's human resources practices.
Parents have called for transparency after the dean of students at the high school was charged with drug trafficking.
