Ryan Reynolds Jokingly Disses Jonathan Bailey For Being 'Too Perfect'
Ryan Reynolds has some beef with Jonathan Bailey because the Wicked star is… “too perfect.”
On Tuesday night (January 7), the 48-year-old Deadpool actor appeared at the 2025 National Board of Review Gala to honor Wicked, which was named the best movie of 2024.
While delivering a speech about the movie, he jokingly took aim at Jonathan who charmed audiences with his portrayal of Fiyero in the musical movie.

“I have one note. I think we can all agree that Jonathan Bailey is objectively perfect. Perhaps too perfect. Personally, I would’ve preferred fewer scenes featuring Mr. Bailey,” he joked, via People.
Ryan continued, saying, “Being good is great, but being great is bad. You can’t just go around indiscriminately spraying charisma all over an enraptured audience. It might feel nice in the moment but it could easily destabilize the entire industry.”
He said that the HLMS (Hollywood Leading Man Society) “simply cannot sustain a standard of performance this high, and it is in our collective best interest that Jonathan Bailey tone it the f-ck down.”
“I cannot work harder than I already work and plastic surgery frightens me, Johnny … Let’s just pump the talent breaks or get out of f-ck town,” he said.
