Even as many conscientious imbibers lock up their liquor cabinets for dry January, most hardcore coffee drinkers – a group of which I’m a proud card-carrying member – are marching into the new year with no intention of cutting down on our vice of choice. Rich, hot coffee is a comfort in this cold weather and that promise of caffeine is enough to get us out of bed on January’s darkest days. Calgary is a dream city for coffee fiends – we’re well-saturated in everything from Tim Hortons and Starbucks outposts to excellent independent cafés.
