Spruce Kings Sign Metelkin
The Prince George Spruce Kings have signed forward Nick Metelkin (05) for the remainder of the 2024-2025 season.
Metelkin is 6’1, 185 pounds from Wind Gap, Pennsylvania and has scored 11 times with 19 assists for a team leading 30 points in 32 games with the Odessa Jackalopes of the North American Hockey League.
Last season, Metelkin played 24 games in Odessa scoring five times and adding nine assists.
“We are very excited to add Nick to our program. He is an exceptional young man and a dynamic hockey player. We’ve been put in a position with some recent roster changes to replace some offensive ability on our team and we feel we have taken a huge step towards doing that with the addition of Nick.
The Spruce Kings return to the ice tomorrow (Friday January 10th) at 7 PM against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. The second half of the doubleheader goes on Saturday January 11th at 6 PM for Indigenous Night, presented by Four Rivers Co op. Saturday night tickets are over 61% sold.
