Warriors vs. Pacers injury report

The full injury report for Friday night’s game.

After an impressive win over the Detroit Pistons to kick off their four-game road trip, the Golden State Warriors are back in action 24 hours later as they visit the Indiana Pacers. The Dubs are going to have to rely heavily on Thursday’s breakout star Gui Santos, as the team is almost comically short-handed.

Here’s the full injury report.

Warriors

Out — Steph Curry (bilateral knee injury management)

It seems that, for the time being, Curry — who was listed as questionable on Thursday but did play — will be held out of back-to-backs so as not to risk further damage. It’s the smart thing to do, but it certainly makes for hard-to-win games.

Out — Draymond Green (left L5-s1 disc)

Green was also listed as questionable on Thursday but played. With Green and Curry sidelined, the Dubs will be without their best offensive and defensive players.

Out — Andrew Wiggins (personal reasons)

Wiggins will miss his second consecutive game due to personal reasons. Hopefully he and his family are okay.

Out — Jonathan Kuminga (right ankle sprain)

No new news here, and probably won’t be for a while. Kuminga is expected to be out for at least another two weeks, though he did make the trip with the team and is off crutches. Both of those things are great to see.

Out — Brandin Podziemski (right abdominal injury management)

This will be Podz’s seventh consecutive game on the sidelines. We miss him!

Out — Gary Payton II (left calf strain)

This will be GPII’s ninth consecutive game on the sidelines. We miss him!

Questionable — Trayce Jackson-Davis (left eye contusion)

If TJD is unable to play, then the Warriors will be down four starters, as well as their sixth man. Not ideal! Also, a left eye contusion doesn’t sound fun at all.

Probable — Moses Moody (left knee patellar tendonopathy)

Moody missed Thursday’s game, so it’s great to see that he might be back in action tonight.

Pacers

Out — Aaron Nesmith (left ankle sprain)

It’s been quite a nasty ankle sprain for Nesmith, who suffered the injury back on November 1. Yikes.

Out — James Wiseman (left Achilles tendon tear)

Poor Wiseman. I was looking forward to watching the former Warrior try to get his career back on track by learning from Myles Turner and catching lobs from Tyrese Haliburton. And then he suffered a season-ending injury on the first day of the season.

Out — Isaiah Jackson (right Achilles tendon tear)

Also a season-ending Achilles injury for Jackson, also suffered in one of the first games of the year. Brutal.

Questionable — Tyrese Haliburton (right ankle sprain)

Haliburton has appeared to be a little hampered by injuries all year. He’s somehow played in all 38 of Indiana’s games, but he hasn’t looked quite as explosive as the last few years, and his numbers are down across the board. Still one of the NBA’s best players, though.

Questionable — Myles Turner (illness)

Haliburton and Turner aren’t quite on the same level as Curry and Green, but needless to say, if they can’t play, it evens things out quite a bit.

Enjoy the action, Dub Nation!
