In Luna village near Vadodara, kite flying traditions have been halted to protect wintering painted storks. Four years ago, villagers grounded their kites to prevent harm to these birds. Over 300 storks are now considered family, with residents even patrolling at night to guard against hunting, showing their dedication to wildlife conservation.
