APD arrests multiple juveniles, two adults connected with crime spree
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- On Tuesday, APD announced it arrested five juveniles and two adults allegedly connected with a crime spree. The two adults were identified as 17-year-olds Javonni McDowell and Rashon Mosee.
Authorities said McDowell, Mosee, and the juveniles were allegedly involved in a string of auto thefts, carjackings, and business burglaries over two days, starting on Sunday.
McDowell and Mosee currently do not have attorneys listed in court documents when they do KXAN will reach out for a comment regarding their cases.
Those allegedly involved in the crime spree were arrested Tuesday morning during a carjacking of an on-duty security guard, according to APD. The vehicle and equipment was used in two additional carjackings, police said.
The suspects were arrested early Tuesday morning, APD said.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
