A 22-bogie train completed its first trial run on the newly constructed rail line between Katra and Srinagar, connecting Kashmir via rail. Approved by the Commissioner of Railway Safety after thorough inspections, the train covered the distance in four hours. The project faced multiple challenges and missed deadlines since its start in 1997.
