Life in Gaza would take years to return to normal, Norwegian Refugee Council Communication Advisor Shania Lowe told FRANCE 24 Sunday after a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas took effect. Pointing to the 15 months of war that has devastated the enclave, Lowe said: “90 percent of housing in Gaza is damaged or destroyed, this is not something that we can rebuild in a matter of six weeks. That is why it’s desperate that this temporary ceasefire turns into a permanent truce”.
