Who is Joe Biden’s brother Jim?
Jim Biden is the younger brother of Joe, born May 16, 1949.
He is one of four siblings, with the others being Joe, Francis (born 1953) and sister Valerie (born 1945).
He has been involved in a number of different business ventures through the years, including owning a nightclub and being an insurance broker.
He was Joe’s chief fundraiser for his 1972 Senate campaign in Delaware, where the future president beat J. Caleb Boggs.
Personal life
Jim stated in an interview with the Washington Post in 2022 that whilst he tries to support his family, he tries to maintain an relatively low profile.
He has been married to his wife, Sara Jones Biden since 1995, and the couple have three children, named Caroline, Nicholas and James.
After helping his brother to senate victory in 1972, Jim and his business partner entered the nightclub business, opening a venue named Seasons Change.
After the initial success of the club, they they opened a second one named The Other Side.
Family values
Despite suggesting he prefers to keep a low profile, Jim has been spotted on a number of occasions with his brother at public appearances, scudding when he served as vice-president to Barack Obama.
His siblings Francis and Valerie have been seen more regularly at Presidential events, with Valerie being a senior advisor to Joe’s successful 2020 Presidential campaign.
Valerie was also campaign manager for his presidential campaigns in 1988 and 2008, although these were unsuccessful.
Francis is a senior advisor at Berman Law group, and was also involved during his brother’s presidential campaigns.
He also worked as director of congressional, legislative and public affairs at the government publishing office during Bill Clinton’s term as President.
