Man Utd in talks to sign Serie A star, 20, with Ruben Amorim eyeing transfer to solve wing-back problems
MANCHESTER UNITED have entered talks to sign 20-year-old left wing-back Patrick Dorgu, reports suggest.
Ruben Amorim has struggled for selection on the left side of his defence, with Diogo Dalot being forced to play there as a stop-gap solution.
However, with the position clearly being heavily specialised, another player with attributes more suited to it are needed.
Luke Shaw would be the obvious choice, but he is injured, while Tyrell Malacia is fit again but still not fully recovered from his 17-month injury layoff.
According to The Athletic, United are finally making moves in the market to bring in the players Amorim would want in his system.
The report claims transfer chiefs have begun lining up options before making decisions on incoming and outgoing deals, with Lecce star Dorgu being among the names discussed for an incoming deal.
