M&M’s Unveils New Product Perfect for Peanut Butter Fans

Peanut butter lovers with have an extra reason to celebrate on National Peanut Butter Day this year. For the first time ever, M&M'S is adding a Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich to its line of frozen confections, to be released in conjunction with the holiday on Friday, Jan. 24.

The new M&M'S Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich will feature a "multi-texture flavor experience" with 100 percent real peanut butter ice cream sandwiched in between two home-baked style sugar cookies studded with crunchy M&M'S Milk Chocolate Minis. The 3.5-ounce frozen treat will come in both a single serve option as well as 14-ounce packs of four to be sold in grocery store freezer aisles.

"National Peanut Butter Day just got a whole lot sweeter with the launch of our M&M'S Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches," said Mars Ice Cream marketing director Chanel Gant in a statement.

"Peanut butter is the Gen Z and millennial flavor of choice when it comes to ice cream pairings," Gant continued. "With this new creation, we're bringing that beloved flavor to the freezer aisle in a way that perfectly matches their cravings, offering a nostalgic yet innovative treat, creating moments of everyday happiness for our consumers."

It seems like a peanut butter flavor is long overdue in M&M's lineup of Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches, which also includes Vanilla, Chocolate, and Cookies & Cream varieties, as well as a M&M's Mint Ice Cream Sandwich flavor that was first added as a limited time promotion for St. Patrick’s Day in 2021.
