NFL picks against the spread for Bills-Chiefs, Eagles-Commanders from our expert staff
Championship Sunday has arrived and it feels simultaneously as though the NFL season just began and also that we’d never get here. Three of the four teams playing for their conference crowns are exactly who we expected would be here when the season started: The Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles.
It’s the upstart Washington Commanders who stunned the NFC to go from four wins last year to a game away from the Super Bowl.
So who does our panel of experts believe will advance to New Orleans to play for the Lombardi Trophy? Let’s get to it.

Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles
Opening Line: Eagles -4.5
Blake Schuster: Eagles -6
I went back and forth here but ultimately I think the Eagles’ run game allows Philly to control the clock and limit Jayden Daniels’ time on the field. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a one possession game until the very end.
Prince Grimes: Commanders +6
They’ll inevitably fail to cover the week I finally come around, because that’s been my luck, but Washington is playing with a scary level of confidence that should at least allow them to keep it close.
Charles Curtis: Commanders +6
Snow or no snow, I have my concerns about the Eagles after what we saw last week. I think Washington’s offense can keep up just enough to cover a spread that’s two or three points too big.
Cory Woodroof: Commanders +6
I have a weird feeling Washington is going to the Super Bowl to get its dreams crushed. Talk about a Cinderella story striking midnight.
Robert Zeglinski: Commanders +6
Jalen Hurts is gonna do everything he can to sabotage another 200-plus-yard rushing game from Saquon Barkley. The rookie QB of destiny in Washington will simply, at all costs, not be denied.
Christian D’Andrea: Eagles -6
That Washington run defense is just too much of a concern for me. Prove me wrong, Jayden Daniels.
Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs
Opening Line: Chiefs -1.5
Blake Schuster: Chiefs -2
I want to believe Buffalo will win. I really do. But until Kansas City is dead and buried I won’t be banking on the Bills.
Prince Grimes: Bills +2
Taking the points again, though I’m a little more sure about this game going down to the wire. The only questions are who finishes on top and whether it’s by less than a field.
Charles Curtis: Bills +2
This is a tough one. Are the Bills ready to win on the road in KC (I think so)? Will this be a one-point game either way (feels that way)? You have to take the dawgs here, and maybe tease down this one with the Commanders spread.
