Hi and welcome to this weekend’s preview with Royston Town FC, Royston Town Women and Royston Town Reserves.
First up, Royston Town travel to Lincolnshire to take on Spalding United in the Southern League Premier Central, Saturday, 3pm kick-off. This will be Royston’s first ever trip to Spalding in any competition, Spalding won our first ever meeting with a 3-0 win with goals from Bartosz Cybulski, Jordan Nicholson and Lamine Sherif, Royston were reduced to 10 men while Spalding were reduced to 9 men that night.

Next up, Royston Town Women are also on the road when they travel to Norfolk when they take on Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers Women in the Eastern Region Women’s Football League Premier Division, Sunday, 2pm kick-off. Royston Town Women will also be making a new trip to the ground the Nest. Royston have also played Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers this season at Garden Walk, with Royston winning 2-1 with thanks to Laura Mills and Charlotte South scoring for the Crows, while Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers scored their goal through Sofia Odell.

Last up, Royston Town Reserves host Wellingborough Whitworth in the Spartan South Midlands Division One. Saturday, 3pm kick-off. Royston Town Reserves are looking not to have a 4th game called off this year after home postpoments against Raunds Town and Irchester United at home and away to London Colney last weekend. This will be our 5th meeting between the sides with 4 meetings between each side last year. In fact our first meeting was a home match that dates back to the 23rd January 2024, so it will be just a few days after. Royston Town have only won the one game with a 3-0 away win, our last meeting ended in a 3-2 defeat in the Division League Cup back in November.
