Chrissy Teigen Reveals Her Family's Dog Penny Has Died

Chrissy Teigen is sharing some very sad personal news.

The 39-year-old cookbook author confirmed on Saturday (January 25) that her family’s beloved dog Penny, a French bulldog she owned with husband John Legend, has sadly passed away.

“Our beautiful little tripod queen, penny, passed on peacefully in her sleep today,” she wrote in a post.

“Born the same day John and I got married, 11 years ago, she was there for us for every baby, every loss, every joy.”

“She loved nothing more than being loved, having her nub rubbed and destroying any ball she could get her paw on, even til her last weeks,” she went on to say.

“Never forget that while every pup is just a few chapters in your long life, for them you are their entire book, their entire lives,” she also said, noting: “Oh penny. We were so beyond lucky to have you. Say hi to Puddy and Pippa for us. You are all together again.”

She also shared photos of the dog in the post and on her Instagram Story with their kids.

Over the years, the pet-loving family has welcomed multiple dogs, as well as birds, a hamster and a bearded dragon. Our thoughts are with Chrissy and John‘s family at this difficult time.
