Six national team cyclists rushed to hospital after they are hit head-on by car in terrifying accident
SIX members of the German national track cycling team were rushed to hospital after a horrible car accident.
According to MDR, the athletes were hit head-on by a car in Mallorca and some suffered serious injuries.
Some cyclists suffered serious injuries from the car accident[/caption]German Cycling announced that the cyclists are undergoing treatment in hospital.
Thankfully, none of them are facing life-threatening injuries.
The athletes were named as Tobias Buck-Gramcko, Max-David Briese, Moritz Augenstein, Bruno Kessler, Benjamin Boos and Louis Gentzik.
All of the aforementioned athletes belong to the national endurance team.
Boos and Kessler won the bronze medal in the team pursuit at the 2024 Track Cycling World Championships in Copenhagen.
Reports suggest team-mate Felix Gross avoided the accident despite being scheduled to train with the rest of the team.
Gross started training later and only joined the group after the accident had already happened.
