A CULT chocolate bar is returning to shelves after being discontinued three years ago.

Milky Way Crispy Rolls are making their way to Iceland next week but shoppers have just days to snap them up.

The supermarket chain is adding the chocs, as well as Bounty Crispy Rolls and Twix Crispy Rolls, to shelves from February 4 for just a week.

It comes after Milky Way Crispy Rolls were discontinued in 2022, although shoppers have spotted them intermittently since at Poundland and Home Bargains.

Iceland is selling all three of the crispy rolls for 50p each while shoppers can get three for £1.20.

The Bounty rolls have 519 calories per 100g, the Twix rolls 511 calories per 100g and the Milky Way rolls 513 calories per 100g.

News the cult Milky Way Crispy Rolls are returning, even for a limited time, has sparked pure excitement among shoppers.

Posting on Facebook, one said: “OMG!!! I used to love the Milky Way Crispy Rolls.”

Another chipped in: “Emergency Iceland trip I need Milky Way Crispy Rolls ASAP.”

A third jokingly added: “I’ll take 1,000 Milky Way ones.”

And a fourth buzzing shopper commented: “WHAT!!! I’m going there after the school run.

“The Crispy Rolls are elite I was devastated when they (were) discontinued.”

The Milky Way Crispy Rolls aren’t just back on sale at Iceland either. We spotted them on sale at one SPAR branch in North London.

We have asked SPAR if they will be available to buy nationwide and will update this story when we have heard back.

Shoppers online are reporting they’re on sale at Farm Foods too for three for £1.

RETURNING CHOCOLATES SPARK EXCITEMENT

It’s not the first time shoppers have been left rushing to their nearest store to pick up a returning discontinued chocolate.

Retailer B&M sparked excitement among chocaholics last year after bringing back Cadbury Fuse Mini Treats.

Sweet-toothed customers were quick to post the find on Facebook after realising it was a rehash of the full bar sold in the mid-2000s.

In July, Nestle brought back the iconic Caramac bar in three forms after axing the chocolate the previous November.

The chocolatier said it had taken the “difficult decision” to drop the sweet snack due to low sales.

But that didn’t stop shoppers mourning the caramel-flavoured bars disappearance, with one branding it a “bl**dy travesty”.

Also in 2024, Cadbury confirmed it had brought back a “yummy” 90s chocolate bar after giving it a makeover.

One of the nation’s favourite chocolate brands announced it would relaunch its Top Deck bar across the UK.

Cadbury said the the much-loved bar, which first launched in 1993, would only be returning to shelves for a limited time though.

Shoppers went wild last year after a much-loved bar returned to shelves for the first time since the 1970s.

Nestle relaunched the strawberry-flavoured Aero bar and chocolate lovers were quick to snap one up.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.

Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
