‘I am ready’: Powerful words of Iran prisoner set to be latest executed by barbaric regime hellbent on crushing dissent
TWO political prisoners are set to be barbarically executed in Iran after being thrown in prison on trumped-up charges.
Insiders say paranoid Iranian leaders are hellbent on ramping up repression on home turf in a dramatic bid to stamp out rebellion.

Executions are said to be taking place every couple of hours as Iran slaughters its people in “unprecedented numbers”.
Behrouz Ehsani, 69, and Mehdi Hassani, 48, were handed death sentences in September over their alleged membership of the People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran – a banned opposition party.
After receiving his death sentence, Ehsani vowed he was “ready” to sacrifice his life in a bid for freedom for the Iranian people.
He said: “This execution-driven regime cannot offer anything else.
“I will not bargain over my life with anyone and am ready to sacrifice my insignificant life for the liberation of the Iranian people.”
In what outraged campaigners have branded an “unjust trial”, both were convicted of collecting classified information, conspiracy against national security and possession of firearms, among other charges.
Father-of-three Hassani was arrested in September and suffered torture in Evin Prison.
Ehsani was also tortured in the same prison following his arrest in December 2022.
They have both now been forcibly moved to Qezelhessar Prison – where executions are notoriously taken out after their sentences were upheld this month by the regime’s Supreme Court.
Defiant inmates have started chanting “death to the dictator” and “if you execute, there will be an uprising” following their transfer.
Ehsani and Hassani’s families, friends and campaigners now fear they could soon be secretly killed after communication lines were also cut.
In a heartbreaking plea shared with The Sun, Hassani’s daughter Maryam begged for help.
She accused the regime of trying to delay its “inevitable overthrow through executions”.
Fighting back tears, Maryam said: “We are very worried about my father’s life. I ask you not to leave us alone, be our voice and help us.
“It is possible that my father could have been any of your fathers. My dad is innocent. We must remove all the charges against him.
“He was always worried about the country, worrying for his children and their future. Please help us.
“My dad might lose his life. I ask you to be our voice.”
Iran has one of the most horrific human rights records in the world, and according to campaigners also holds the harrowing title for the highest execution rate.

Harrowing records leaked from Iran’s torturous prisons also showed how thousands were holed up on death row for petty crimes.
In 2024, the Iranian regime ramped up the executions of its own people – including women, children and political prisoners.
Official records show that the number of executions last year reached 1,000 – the highest number in 30 years and 16 percent higher than the previous.
Of those on record, 34 were women and seven were under 18 at the time of their so-called crimes.
The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) fears the true toll is much higher as many of the deaths are kept secret, however.
Since the start of this year, at least 82 executions have been recorded
Most of the surging executions are by hanging, but there is also evidence of other medieval torture punishments including public flogging, limb-removal and eye-gouging.
The NCRI has pinned the shocking leap in executions on the humiliated regime’s internal instability, regional defeats and organised repression.
Hossein Abedini, the deputy director of the NCRI’s office in the UK, told The Sun the shocking leap in executions is down to the regime’s internal instability, regional defeats and organised repression.
Iranian girl’s horror sketch shows her watch as dad is HANGED
by Emma Parry, Senior Reporter
A LITTLE girl drew a heart-breaking picture of her dad being hanged in front of her eyes after he was sentenced to death.
The desperately sad crayon sketch was drawn by six-year-old Mahna Ahmadi, from Iran, of her father Hamed being hanged as she and her mother watched on.
She drew the picture whilst waiting to see him for the final time.
In the scene, Mahna and her mother hold hands next to a gallows under which her father is standing on a block.
The picture, shared with The Sun by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), shows the devastating human toll of families torn apart by Iran leader Ali Khmamenei’s killing machine in its bloodiest year yet.
The harrowing picture was referenced in a gut-wrenching letter from a political prisoner called Saeed Masouri who has spent 25 years on Iran’s death row.
He pleaded with the international community and wrote of the psychological torture that over two decades on death row had inflicted on him.
His emotional letter was smuggled out of the notorious Ghezel Hesar prison in Iran and shared with The Sun.
“I do not know what more my eyes must see or what further burdens and heartaches this heart must endure,” Saeed wrote in an open letter to the UN.
Towards the end of 2024 the Iranian regime and its terror proxies faced severe defeats in the region to Israel, including the defeat of Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Mr Abedeni said: “In the absence of any solutions to deal with social and economic crisis, the clerical regime has intensified its brutal tactics, including a record number of executions.
“The fall of Bashar Assad’s regime has exposed the mullah’s military’s
fragility and fuelled anger among the Iranian populace over the regime’s resource allocation to maintain foreign allies.
“This has prompted the regime to order security forces to prevent protests and escalate its repressive measures, reflecting its fear of
ising dissent and the determination of the Iranian people to end the clerical regime.”
Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei uses executions “to instill fear and prevent public protests and uprisings”, the NCRI said.
It comes as the No to Execution Tuesdays campaign by prisoners in Iran enters its second year.
The protest was initiated by inmates in Qezelhessar Prison last January against the judiciary’s brutal executions and inhumane death sentences.
It has now evolved into a nationwide movement – with prisoners at 34 jails joining in on hunger strikes every Tuesday.
Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the NCRI, hailed the campaign as a “symbol of determination and resilience of individuals who, even in captivity, refuse to remain silent in the face of oppression”.
