Route 7 closed near Hoosick for removal of crashed tractor trailer

HOOSICK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State Route 7 near Hoosick is closed between State Route 22 and Spicer Road while crews remove a tractor-trailer from the roadway. The crash took place around 11:55 p.m. on Tuesday.

State police reported that the truck's driver lost control of the vehicle while heading eastbound and veered off the right shoulder, colliding with a guardrail and a power pole. The driver was reportedly not injured in the crash.

All lanes in the area are closed, and the removal operation is expected to take three to four hours, officials stated. Motorists are advised to follow the detours established in the vicinity or seek alternate routes.
