Dog survivor of Windham plane crash finds forever home

WINDHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The dog that survived the November plane crash in Greene County has found his forever home, according to the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley.

Whiskey had two broken rear legs when the freedom flight he was flying on crashed in Windham. The 6-month-old puppy has been undergoing extensive physical therapy to help him increase mobility and restore muscle strength in his legs.

Whiskey was among two other dogs on the plane. The pilot, Seuk Kim, and one other dog died in the crash. Whiskey's adoption will be finalized on Saturday.
