It has been a long while since Australia announced their squad for the 2025 edition of the ICC Champions Trophy. With a few days left for the deadline to make changes in the squad, here is the list of some injured players for the team.
1) Aaron Hardie
Aaron Hardie is an all-rounder player, who has has constant struggles with quad problems. Even though he bowled for Australia A against England Lions, there are concerns regarding his injury.
2) Josh Hazlewood
Pacer Josh Hazlewood is struggling with a hip issue, and his participation in Champions Trophy is under doubt. There might be an update on his health.
3) Marcus Stoinis
All-rounder Marcus Stoinis pulled his right hamstring during SA20 clash for Durban Super Giants. An update on Stoinis’ injury is also due as of now.
4) Pat Cummins
Skipper Pat Cummins faced an ankle injury during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Australia’s head coach Andrew McDonald stated that Cummins is “heavily unlikely” to appear in Champions Trophy 2025.
5) Mitchell Marsh
Pace-bowling all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been fully ruled out of the tournament as per his back injury. He is likely going to be replaced by Beau Webster.
