Mets Announce 2025 Minor League Coaching Staffs
In a sign that spring is nearly here, the Mets announced the coaching staffs Wednesday for Triple-A Syracuse, Double-A Binghamton, Single-A Brooklyn and Low-A St. Lucie.
Dick Scott, in year 12 with the Mets organization, will manage Syracuse for the third year. He will be assisted by pitching coach A.J. Sager, hitting coach Rick Guarno and bench coach/assistant hitting coach J.P. Arencibia.
Corey Wimberly will serve as the outfield coach/base running coordinator for Syracuse. Drew Skrocki is the strength and conditioning coach, Austin Dayton is the athletic trainer and Joseph Parrillo is the assistant athletic trainer. Wimberly played in the Mets farm system back in 2012 with the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons.
Reid Brignac returns to manage the Binghamton Rumble Ponies for his fourth year. His bench coach will be Mariano Duncan, the hitting coach is Nate Irving and the pitching coach is Dan McKinney. Irving, a Yonkers native, is joining the Mets organization from the Reds.
Aaron Bray will be the assistant hitting coach, Vanessa Weisbach is the athletic trainer, Trent McMaster is the strength coach and Meghan Haas is the athletic training associate. Will Moscato will be a baseball analytics analyst and Jaron Richman will be the baseball technology and video associate.
In Brooklyn, Gilbert Gómez returns to lead the Cyclones for his second season. Eduardo Núñez will be the bench coach, Jordan Kraus will be the pitching coach, and Bryan Muniz will be the hitting coach. Gómez, a former Mets minor leaguer, also managed the Tigres del Licey in the Dominican Winter League this year.
Kylie Horton will be the trainer, Brandon Harrist will be the athletic training associate, Beaux Bonvillain will be the strength coach and Terrance Tatum is the mental skills coach. Koby Bernstein is there for baseball analytics and Robert Winkler is handling baseball tech and video.
Luis Rivera will be the 23rd manager in St. Lucie Mets history, earning the promotion after spending the last two years as the organization’s roving infield coordinator. Rivera, 41, managed Brooklyn in 2022 and has also coached at Syracuse and Binghamton.
Luis Alvarado will be the St. Lucie pitching coach, Troy Miller will be the assistant pitching coach, Devin DeYoung will be the hitting coach, and Jonathan Jones will be the bench/assistant hitting coach. Miller pitched in the Mets farm system last season and in parts of three seasons. Julianna Mangano is the athletic trainer, Cam Kissick is the strength and conditioning coach and Michael Albunia is the athletic training associate. John Warren is the baseball analytics staffer and Andres Acosta is on baseball tech and video.
