Angelina Jolie Reveals if Her Kids Want to Act, Explains Why She & Brad Pitt Sold First Photos of Their Twins

Angelina Jolie opened up about raising her children in the spotlight and if they want to follow in her Hollywood footsteps.

The 49-year-old Maria actress shares Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox with ex-husband Brad Pitt.

With two movie star parents, you might think that the six kids are all ready to appear on the big screen. However, Angelina said that was not the case.

She also explained the decision that she made to sell the very first photos of Vivienne and Knox after they were born.

During an appearance at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Angelina said that her kids were not interested in pursuing acting careers.

“No. I don’t know, that’s not my doing,” she admitted, via People. “I always wanted them to be around film because I wanted them to know as a part of — it’s such a wonderful family, to be creative, to be an artist, to be… They’re not interested.”

She continued, explaining, “They really don’t like any of the celebrity part of it, especially Shiloh hates it. I think in a very healthy way they don’t … It’s not a normal thing. It’s a silly thing really.”

Although they seemingly aren’t interesting in acting, Angelina noted that they were still expressing their creativity in other ways. For some of her kids, it even still happens on set.

“Yes, they’ve been on set with me,” she said. “And some of them dance, some of them paint, some of them love theater, but none of them are dying to be on screen.”

As for her and Brad selling the photos of their twins, Angelina said that they thought it was better to sell the photos themselves instead of having paparazzi following them to capture pictures.

“It’s a strange thing to have to do or to do, but it was kind of the better option, but also it was for their safety,” she said. “It was that somebody was coming for it and it was a safety concern as well.”

Angelina and Brad also donated the funds from the sale to their charity at the time.
