Celebrity Bear Hunt star Una Healy reveals ex Ben only sees their kids twice a year as she discusses divorce

UNA Healy has revealed her ex-husband Ben Foden only sees their kids twice a year – while discussing their post-divorce set up.

The Saturdays singer Una, 43, split from rugby player Ben in 2018 after six years of marriage.

They share two children together – daughter Aoife, 12, and son Tadhg, 10.

Speaking to The Mirror, Una revealed while she’s maintained a cordial relationship with Ben, practical reasons mean he doesn’t get to see the children often.

Ben, 39, is now based in the US with second wife Jackie Belanoff-Smith and their two daughters.

Una explained: “We don’t have the ‘every other weekend’ set-up. He sees them at Christmas and in the summer.

“But Ben’s considering moving back to the UK and I really hope he does. It would be better for everyone.”

Una has just faced a new challenge by participating in gruelling Celebrity Bear Hunt.

Hosted by Holly Willoughby, the survival show sees a slew of celebrities get hunted by ultimate survival expert Bear Grylls.

The new series, which was filmed in Costa Rica, launched on Netflix on earlier this month.

Fellow contestants include Strictly judge Shirley Ballas, Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas and Spice Girls singer Mel B.

The line-up also includes television personality Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen, tennis legend Boris Becker and rapper Big Zuu.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun at the show’s launch night, Una shared how the cast was supported by a team of psychiatrists and counsellors throughout the process.

She said: “I think that was really important for us. Because we always had a psychologist there to talk to.

“If we ever found moments where we were feeling a bit overwhelmed or sick or down or homesick, there was always someone there to talk to.

“And he was a really good one, where he’d bring you back up again, and you’d just be like, ‘Yeah, come on, I can do this.’

“It’s a small amount of time. It’s an incredible opportunity and experience. He was great.”
