Kerry Katona signs up for HUGE dating show after heartbreaking split from fiance
KERRY Katona has signed up to a huge reality TV dating show after her split from Ryan Mahoney.
The 44-year-old was initially heartbroken by the split which was the result of an alleged “breach of trust”.
However, more recently, she has been pragmatic and accepted that personal trainer Ryan, 36, wasn’t the one for her.
The pair had been engaged for four years and Ryan was like a dad to Kerry’s five kids – Molly, 21, Lilly-Sue, 20, Heidi, 16, Max, 14, and eight-year-old DJ.
Now Kerry’s on the hunt for a new man and thinks a well-managed dating scenario could be what she needs to find Mr Right.
A source said: “Kerry was heartbroken when she split from Ryan – it’s taken her quite a while to get over what happened.
“But she was approached to do the show and is always up for a new opportunity.
“Bosses know she makes amazing telly and she’s really hoping she finds a proper connection.”
It has been a year of ups and downs for Kerry so far.
Last month she cancelled a planned facelift after an intervention from her kids.
Speaking to the Mirror, she said: “My eldest three girls really didn’t want me to do it, they were begging me not to and said, ‘Mum, please don’t’.
“I do go off of what my kids think and I knew they didn’t want me to so that massively impacted my decision.
“They don’t think I need it yet and they know how tough the recovery will be, so they really didn’t want me to do it.”
Kerry had planned to rope in pal Katie Price to help her at home while she recovered.
At the turn of the year we revealed Kerry’s clothing boutique had closed down.
She launched the online store Kerry’s Boutique in 2020, and it was one of the businesses that helped her to become a millionaire again after going bankrupt twice.
But after a successful start, no accounts were filed for the company since 2023 and fans started questioning what was going on.
Some complained that they had failed to receive refunds after ordering from the site, which Kerry once heavily advertised on her social media.
Kerry’s rep told The Sun: “Kerry didn’t have time in her schedule to run Kerry’s Boutique. Anything related to the closing down of the company is her business partner’s responsibility and nothing to do with Kerry.”

Kerry’s first high-profile relationship was with Brian McFadden, who was then a member of the Irish boyband Westlife.
The couple married in 2002 and had two daughters together, Molly and Lilly-Sue, but divorce beckoned just four years later after infidelity claims.
In 2007, Kerry married Mark Croft, a former taxi driver.
Their relationship was tumultuous and marked by financial difficulties and accusations of infidelity.
They had two children together, Heidi and Maxwell, before divorcing in 2011.
Kerry has spoken openly about the difficulties she faced during this period, including struggles with her mental health and substance abuse.
Following this, she entered into a relationship with George Kay, a former professional rugby league player.
They married in 2014 and had a daughter, Dylan-Jorge (DJ). However, their relationship was fraught with issues, including horrifying domestic abuse, and they separated in 2017. Kay died in 2019 after ‘biting into a ball of cocaine’.
Kerry later found love again with Ryan Mahoney, a fitness trainer.
The couple became engaged in 2020, and Kerry described Ryan as a stabilising and positive influence in her life.
After increasing speculation late in 2024, Kerry revealed they had split over a “breach in trust” and Ryan had moved out of her home.
