Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and four generations of his family members went for a holy dip in the Ganges in the Maha Kumbh on February 11, a day before Magh Purnima. They were accompanied by his mother Kokilaben Ambani and his two sons and their wives Akash & Shloka and Anant & Radhika. Mukesh Ambani‘s grandchildren Prithvi and Veda also joined them. Post the holy dip in the revered Sangam, the family participated in a special Ganga puja conducted by Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj of Niranjani Akhada.

Kokilaben Ambani arrived along with her two daughters – Dipti Salgaocar and Nina Kothari. They were accompanied by Mukesh Ambani’s mother-in-law, Purnimaben Dalal, and sister-in-law, Mamthaben Dalal. Videos showed the industrialist and his two sons – Akash and Anant – taking a dip in the holy water.

Last month, Mukesh Ambani’s younger brother and industrialist Anil Ambani and his wife, former actor Tina Ambani, had visited Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh festival.

Ambani family participates in Kumbh rituals

After the holy dip, the Ambani family visited Parmarth Niketan Ashram at the Kumbh. They distributed sweets to sanitation workers, boatmen, and pilgrims. The family was also seen serving food to devotees.

Reliance Industries, in collaboration with Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Sharda Peeth Math Trust (Dwarka), Sri Shankaracharya Utsav Sevalay Foundation, Niranjani Akhada, and Prabhu Premi Sangh Charitable Trust, has been actively involved in Anna Seva (food donation) at the Kumbh. As part of their efforts, the Ambani family also distributed life jackets to boat operators to ensure their safety and that of the pilgrims.

Record-breaking passenger traffic at Prayagraj airport

Prayagraj Airport has achieved another milestone! Passenger traffic is setting new records. On February 10, the airport recorded the maximum single-day passenger traffic ever with 13,915 passengers passing through. This is the maximum single-day passenger since the commissioning of Prayagraj Civil Airport in 2019. Interestingly, this is the ninth instance within a month when the airport set a new record!

For the first time ever, 80 scheduled flights were operated from the airport in a day—a record in itself. Total flights took off or landed were 112, out of which 32 were charter flights. These charter flights brought in 64 VIPs and took out 65 VIPs, another record in the history of the airport.
