‘The Challenge All Stars: Rivals’ recap: Disgruntled teammates and a house virus lead to dramatic elimination in ‘Rivals in the Ruff’
Tonight on The Challenge All Stars: Rivals — tension continues to brew between Rivals KellyAnne and Sylvia. Adam puts himself and his partner Steve’s Star at risk after coming down with a flu. At the challenge, another Rival pair is divided, leading to big misunderstanding back at the house. This episode titled “Rivals in the Ruff” aired Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
This season, 26 All Star competitors return. As bad blood resurfaces for some, the Rivals quickly learn that to win their share of the $300,000 grand prize, they must be able to work together to survive. TJ Lavin hosts.

The Challengers
Following last week’s challenge and elimination of Beth and Jonna, the Star-holders were Adam and Steve, Leroy and Devin, Dario and Ashley, and Turbo and Nany.
Tension is building between KellyAnne and Sylvia, putting the “Lavender Ladies” alliance of Ashley M., Shane, and Sylvia at risk. Sylvia complains to Shane about her inability to work with her partner. Meanwhile KellyAnne is outside stretching and comparing Sylvia to a “mean” Doberman. Frank seizes this opportunity to pretend he cares — consoling KellyAnne by the pool. Privately, he admits he can’t wait to throw them into elimination.
Meanwhile, Adam is sick as a dog and appears to have the flu, which could put him and Steve at risk at today’s challenge.
The Daily Challenge
In “Ball Buster,” Challengers will jump into a giant pit and grab as many balls as they can (they must match their team color). They’ll then race them through an obstacle course and place the balls at the opposite end. The balls come in all sizes and smaller ones may be difficult to find in the pit. After retrieving 10 balls, each pair must solve a puzzle. Whoever completes it first will win today’s Daily Challenge.
Leroy and Devin are the first team to complete the puzzle. They will now have the power to select a team to face off against whoever the house votes in. Because the loser of the Daily Challenge doesn’t matter, TJ blows the horn and “Ball Buster” is complete.
The Elimination Arena/The Jungle
The house voted to send in Adam and Steve for the second week in a row, despite Adam’s plea to be left alone because he’s sick. Down in the jungle, Leroy and Devin send in KellyAnne and Sylvia to face them. In “Pile it On,” pairs will solve a puzzle as spools unravel long pieces of heavy rope. As soon as the puzzle is solved, the Challengers will have to hold up whatever rope has been unraveled for five minutes. If at any time their rope hits the ground, their five minutes starts over. The first pair of Rivals to hold their rope up for five minutes will stay in the game. The losers will go home.
The Big Winners
Adam and Steve prevailed in tonight’s elimination arena and held onto their Stars. Other Star holders are Leroy and Devin, Dario and Ashley, and Turbo and Nany. Leroy and Devin also won today’s Daily Challenge and managed to send in a pair that was eliminated, escaping with no blood on their hands.
The Big Losers
KellyAnne and Sylvia didn’t have what it takes to win in the jungle and became the second pair eliminated from this season of All Stars.

The Challengers have taken notice that Star holders haven’t changed since the beginning of the game. Will they finally be willing to throw two teams with Stars into elimination? We’ll find out next week on The Challenge All Stars.
