Ten Manipur tribal MLAs, mostly Kuki-Zo legislators, are hopeful the Centre will present a political roadmap for peace after placing the state assembly under suspended animation. Ethnic violence since May has resulted in numerous deaths, injuries, and displacements. The MLAs seek a separate administration for tribals and await measures to alleviate the suffering of affected individuals.
