VOA Persian: Iranian lawyers protest death sentences of 3 female political prisoners

Over 200 Iranian lawyers have issued a statement protesting the death sentences of three female political prisoners: Pakhshan Azizi, Varisheh Moradi, and Sharifeh Mohammadi. 


The statement, signed by 229 lawyers, calls for an "immediate halt to the execution" of Pakhshan Azizi and urges "respect for the legal rights" of Varisheh Moradi and Sharifeh Mohammadi in the handling of their appeals against the death sentences.
