The Ministry of Defence signed a contract with Bharat Electronics Limited for 149 advanced Software Defined Radios at a cost of Rs 1220.12 crore. These radios will boost the Indian Coast Guard’s secure communication, enabling better maritime operations and joint missions with the Indian Navy. This aligns with Atmanirbhar Bharat, fostering local manufacturing and employment.
