The Traitors Season 3 Episode 9 Was All Fizzle and No Sizzle. Is There Any Way to Salvage the Season?
The Traitors Season 3 Episode 9 hit a frustrating franchise-low as Danielle and Carolyn came to blows in a big argument. Our review.

The Traitors succeeded in their mission to take out a “silent assassin,” but the entire season is crumbling.
What was once brimming with possibilities is now just a hollow shell with few interesting storylines, vanquishing my desire to watch anymore.
I’ll be honest: The Traitors is one of my favorite shows, so it’s devastating to see it falling apart before my very eyes.
The Traitors Season 3 Episode 9 started compelling enough with the stalemate between Danielle and Carolyn.
They’re reality TV titans, so there was no way one of them would back down. It’s not in their DNA, and that’s pretty admirable.
However, Alan’s choice of Traitors is the issue with the episode — and the season as a whole.
The Traitors are supposed to be smart and work together to murder and banish the Faithful to get to the end and laugh all the way to the bank.

Danielle Pulled An Admirable Hail Mary
It seems easy on paper, but the civil war between the Traitors has thrown the format off course this season.
With Bob the Drag Queen and Boston Rob gone, Danielle and Carolyn could have made that beautiful Scottish castle their oyster and made strategic moves to secure the victory.
But their paranoia about each other is what undid their games.
That said, Danielle upped her game by planting all of the seeds about Carolyn before the Round Table because we all know who would have been going home out of them without them.
Danielle has been falling apart emotionally because this game is taxing, and it’s clear she’s struggled to lie to some of her friends.
It’s perfectly understandable, but you must be more brutal to fit in with the other personalities on the show.
As a longtime Danielle fan, I’ve been frustrated by her on The Traitors, but her last-minute hail mary to save herself and send Carolyn packing was pretty well-executed.
Had Carolyn known what she was walking into, the Survivor alum would have verbally annihilated Danielle.

But Danielle succeeded here with the element of surprise and some very on-the-fence faithful.
She knocked the wind out of Carolyn, and it was so well-executed.
It’s a shame that Danielle didn’t take escaping by the skin of her teeth as a sign to continue making more innovative moves to elevate her standing with the Faithful.
Recruiting Britney was the worst possible move because her name has been thrown out multiple times.
Is Danielle Setting Britney Up for Disaster at the End of the Traitors Season 3?
Then again, it could be Britney’s turn to go in the next episode, and maybe Danielle will be off the hook if her friend goes.
At this point, Danielle seems more interested in making a strong Big Brother alliance than actually playing the game, and it’s a real shame.
Had she brought in Ivar or even Gabby, they would have worked overtime to protect her if they knew the prize was on the line.
Plus, the remaining men are already under the assumption that there are no male Traitors.
Danielle can play this game well, but she’s not doing the work.

She may be sitting pretty in the Turret after surviving, but everyone is slowly commenting that she got so passionate at the Round Table because she got a fellow Traitor out.
How can she realistically throw the blame on anyone else now? I mean, all she could really say was that someone was close to Carolyn.
Perhaps Gabby’s name could be mentioned because Gabby understood Carolyn on a level many did not.
Given the game’s current state, I firmly believe that producers are aware that the show is in the doldrums this season, which explains why Kate Chastain and Parvati Shallow appeared to amp up the drama.
The Traitors Season 3 Should Have Featured Returning Players
It’s a shame they were only around for one episode because they could have been perfect for recalibrating the format and ushering in the final episodes with some vigor.
What do we have to look forward to in the final episodes of the season? Britney will accept Danielle’s offer to be a Traitor.
They won’t get very far together, that’s for sure. They’ll likely be the next two out, and that will be that.
The rivalry between Tom and Dolores is quite simply nauseating. The storylines have fizzled out, and producers are grasping at straws to make anything relevant because the remaining cast can’t carry the show.
The Traitors Season 3 lost the bulk of its prominent personalities early on, and the current state of the series proves that casting needs to up its game for The Traitors Season 4.

This isn’t The Traitors I know and love, and it’s going to be difficult to get me invested in the show again unless there are plenty of good storylines and cast members.
Casting is crucial to the success of these shows.
