Ange Postecoglou reveals Micky Van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Dominic Solanke return timelines at Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou has provided an injury update on his Tottenham Hotspur squad ahead of the Premier League clash against Ipswich Town, including the latest on Micky Van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Dominic Solanke, and Richarlison.
After six days of rest, Tottenham Hotspur are set to return to Premier League action on Saturday, where they take on Ipswich Town.
Over the last week, the Lilywhites were handed a major boost on the injury front, as five players made a return to the squad against Manchester United.
Guglielmo Vicario played the entire ninety minutes, James Maddison got a solid 62 minutes, while Wilson Odobert and Brennan Johnson had shorter cameos in the second half.
Micky Van de Ven and Cristian Romero remain absent
Despite a few players returning, Spurs still have players sidelined because of injuries. Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Richarlison and Dominic Solanke are expected to be out for two weeks.
Radu Dragusin suffered an ACL injury that required surgery and remains sidelined for the foreseeable future.
Kevin Danso, Rodrigo Bentancur and Heung-min Son picked up knocks in the clash against Manchester United, but the manager has since hinted that they should all be fine for the clash on Saturday.
Tottenham injury update ahead of Ipswich Town match
When asked about Tottenham’s current injured crop and when they might return, Ange Postecoglou told Football London: “No new concerns from last week and the other guys are ticking along well. Got two games in quick succession in the league.
“Good opportunity to get some minutes for players. Hoping Romero and Micky back around [the Europa League first leg] and Dom and Richy not far behind.”
Asked to elaborate on the schedule Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven are working to, Ange added: “It’s going well for him [Romero] and he’s in a good place. I’m really keen to pick the right moment with him and Micky to make sure we’ve got them for the rest of the season.”
