Becky G Shines in Trendy Metallic Silver Jimmy Choo Platform Stilettos at 2025 Premio Lo Nuestro Award
Becky G glowed in a frilly white two-piece with a long train and silver hardware at the hip and towering Jimmy Choo Max 150 metallic silver stiletto sandals to receive her trophy at the 2025 Premio Lo Nuestro awards show in Miami yesterday.
The “Otro Capítulo” singer’s glamorous Italian-made designer shoes fare made of shiny metallic leather with a round open-toe and sky-high 5.9-inch stiletto heels. They feature a slim silver ankle strap, a rounded, tapered vamp and a 1-inch platform.
Metallic shoes, especially in gold, silver and jewel tones, started to take over fashion in 2022. The style has continued to gain a consistent spot in designers’ collections since then. Several high-end labels like Bottega Veneta, Prada and Manolo Blahnik have included the shiny material in their runway shoes in recent collections.
Popular metallic heeled styles include the $1,150 Valentino Garavani metallic leather stiletto pumps and the Jimmy Choo Ixia pumps, priced at $683.
This is not the first time she has worn these Jimmy Choo silver metallic platforms. She paired them with a flowing fishnet gown decorated with round silver palettes from Tony Ward Couture at the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards. She also wore them at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards with a fabulously feathered and sequined lavender mini dress and a silver fishnet minidress at the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 30th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party earlier that year.
Becky G has been a fan of shiny silver stilettos and towering platforms since her early days, including bedazzled sandals and metallic pumps. She is certainly an early adopter of the metallic shoe trend, pairing an iridescent purple pair of pointed-toe pumps with a purple denim set dripping in sequins back in 2018.
The Premio Lo Nuestro, which translates to “Our Awards,” celebrate the best of Latin music. The 37th edition of the awards show took place on Feb. 20 at the Kaeya Center in Miami. Shakira was the biggest winner of the night with six wins, but was absent from the show due to her world tour. Carín León followed with five awards and Karol G and Camilo.
Becky G was the most-nominated woman at the show with 10 nods and took home one win for Mariachi/Ranchera Song of the Year for “Por El Contrario” with Ángela Aguilar and Leonardo Aguilar. She performed “Querido Abuelo,” a song dedicated to her grandfather, at the awards show.
