KU offensive coordinator Jim Zebrowski joins K-Nation one-on-one

0

LAWRENCE (KSNT) - For the third-straight season, Kansas football will start the year with a new offensive coordinator.

After Jeff Grimes left Lawrence to take the same role at Wisconsin, the Jayhawks promoted co-offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Jim Zebrowski for the role.

Zebrowski joined K-Nation's Landon Reinhardt in a one-on-one interview with spring practice on the horizon.

"It was exciting," Zebrowski said, when asked about the moment he was asked to be the new play-caller. "[KU head football coach Lance Leipold] told me the night before that something might be happening...he calls and asks, 'What do you think?' I go, 'Yeah, man, what do you mean?'...it was a great day."

Zebrowski's son, Zach, is a two-time Harlon Hill Trophy winner, given to the best DII football player in the country. Zach finished the 2024 season as the back-to-back winner at Central Missouri.

"So proud," Jim said. "So proud of how he played. He had so much fun playing, and he played so hard...you could see how much fun he had playing with his teammates."

Jim Zebrowski and Reinhardt also discussed waiting for this job to line up, play-calling in the 2025 season and more.

The full interview with Zebrowski aired in Sunday’s episode of K-Nation and can be watched above. K-Nation airs every Sunday night following 27 News at 10, only on KSNT.
