You Won't Believe How Cool—And Affordable—These Stunning New Seiko Watches Are

Over the last couple years, vintage style has fully taken over the Japanese watch world with brands like Casio and Citizen rolling out an abundance of retro-styled pieces. Now, sector giant Seiko is adding to their already impressive variety of options in the modernized, antique sophistication section with the unveiling of a new set of additions to their Seiko Presage "Style60's" series.

Featuring a total of 16 new watches priced between $525 and $675, the new additions join the already loved Presage "Style60's" series, which the Tokyo-based watchmakers first unveiled in January 2024 in celebration of the Crown Chronograph. First introduced in 1964, the Crown Chronograph was Japan's first wristwatch equipped with a stopwatch function.

The goal of the series has always been to offer that vintage feel of a Seiko milestone watch by combining classic design with a modern twist, often delivered through things like contemporary color choices or even a calendar function (which six of the new watches include). The latest additions continue these design directions by keeping the Crown Chronograph's characteristic box-shaped glass and faceted indexes and adding things like varied finishing techniques that add legibility without losing the warm vintage feel we’ve all come to expect from the collection.

In total, the 16 new watches are broken down into five different sets, some include calendar functions, while others feature skeletonized designs, and two offer classic chronograph stopwatch features at 6 o’clock. They come in an array of colors, including everything from black, brown, and ivory, to more modern earth tones like blue and green, and the straps are also available in various materials, from stainless steel to leather. One harsher reality, however, is that none of the watches offer water resistance past 50 meters, which means we wouldn’t recommend even wearing them in the shower.

Overall, this lineup of Seiko Presage "Style60’s" models continues to expand the Japanese brand’s options of vintage design watches that are in vogue in today’s watch world. The fact that they continue to do so for such reasonable prices, yet are still made with quality materials is why Seiko remains one of the world’s most loved brands.
