Arrogant Prince Andrew MUST be kept away from Donald Trump – he’s no secret weapon
KING Charles has officially invited Donald Trump to his home in Scotland but Prince Andrew should be kept far from the festivities, warn experts.
The disgraced Duke of York, like the US President, is a well-known for his love of golf but his presence at Balmoral could be divisive.
The King, who has a amicable relationship with President Trump, extended an invitation to his personal home in the Scottish Highlands via Sir Keir Starmer.
However, there has been speculation over whether or not Prince Andrew will be in attendance given his scandals in recent years.
Royal journalist and author Robert Jobson told The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show that Donald Trump is likely “jumping at the chance” to visit the coveted royal estate.
However, he warned that the Windsors should keep Prince Andrew, 64, “a long away” from proceedings.
Prince and President Trump share a love of golf, as well as both having a connection to Jeffrey Epstein.
When it was put to him that Prince Andrew might be “the secret weapon” to bridging the two nations, the royal expert explained why we’re unlikely to see a friendship form.
“Should Prince Andrew bring Trump down with himself?” Mr Jobson asked.
“I think he’ll be kept a long way away from that.”
Despite the Highlands playing host to a Trump-owned golf resort, the royal journalist was adamant that will not see the two men interact.
However, he did speculate that another member of the royal family could play a key role in the visit.
“I do think William will play a role as well because clearly he is trying to build a rapport with the President and they seem to get on very well,” he said.
Mr Jobson cited a 2024 meeting between the two men in Paris after the Notre-Dame reopening.
He added that King Charles and President Trump also “got on quite well” during their last interaction.
And while Prince Andrew may not be the secret weapon the royals need, the King’s decades of experience may be enough, he predicted.
“I’m sure Sir Keir needs all the help he can get,” Mr Jobson said.

He added that Donald Trump’s own Scottish heritage is likely another reason the President accepted the invite.
“His mother was Scottish, she was a MacLeod, so I think he would absolutely jump at the opportunity being given,” he explained.
Mr Jobson said that the King is likely to be pleased with Donald Trump’s actions since their last meeting.
“It does seem as President, that he’s relayed on all the things he said he was going to do,” he explained.
Royal Editor at Hello Magazine Emily Nash also weighed in on the likely outcome of an invite.
“I think it would be impossible for him to turn that one down, it would be such a special privilege afforded to him,” she said.
