Man Utd drew level with 20 minutes remaining when Bruno Fernandes swept in Diogo Dalot’s cut-back.

Substitute Chido Obi squandered two late chances to win it, with the match meandering into extra time.

Fulham went on to claim victory in the shoot-out, scoring all four of theirs with Victor Lindelof and Joshua Zirkzee missing for United.
