‘New that’s luxury!’, chocolate lovers rush to Waitrose for ‘flat’ Easter egg – but some aren’t fans
SHOPPERS with a sweet tooth have rushed to get their hands on a “luxury” Easter egg at Waitrose but some people haven’t been a fan.
A new-style “flat” egg has dropped in stores weeks before the big day.
The No.1 Blonde Chocolate & Biscuit Flat Easter Egg has gone viral online.
It is made of white chocolate and caramelised sugar and biscuit spread.
This special egg has also been decorated with pieces of caramel and caramelised sugar.
This unique design however is not like a traditional Easter egg as it is flat.
It does however have a hollow half mini egg in the middle.
This unique Waitrose festive chocolate will set shoppers back £12.
Some fans on an Instagram post praised the fancy egg.
One person said: “Now that’s a luxury egg!”
Another fan wrote: “It tastes amazing.”
Despite this, some chocolate lovers have kicked up a fuss about the design, on Facebook.
One person said: “Half an egg. things are getting bad.”
Another commenter wrote: “Flat egg. u mean half an egg.”
Some people questioned the amount of product they would be getting.
One Facebook user said: “Not enough chocolate.”
This has not been the only Easter egg to go viral online and send shoppers rushing into stores to get their hands on it.
Aldi has launched it’s latest range of Easter chocolate for kids.
They have a range of mouth-watering surprises, from popping-candy to bubble tea pearls.
Their new Dairyfine Curious Inventions Egg, 180g, is marked up at just £3.99.
It comes in milk or white chocolate and a fun combo of cherry jelly sweets, choccie beans and pop rocks is sure to offer a surprise in each bite.
Meanwhile the Dairyfine Bubble Tea 215g egg is still on the cheaper side at only £7.99.
