A man from Bantwal Taluk, Varun, fell prey to a cyber fraud, losing Rs 1.11 lakh after believing a WhatsApp link promising income from watching videos. The fraudsters lured him into transferring funds and demanded more money, prompting him to suspect foul play and report the scam to the police.
