Man in his 20s shot dead in broad daylight in ‘targeted attack’ as cops investigate murder
COPS have launched a murder hunt after a man in his 20s was shot dead in broad daylight.
West Midlands Police say the victim was gunned down in Eastfield Grove, Wolverhampton, just after 3.20pm on Tuesday.
Despite desperate attempts to save the man he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police spokesperson said: “The investigation is at a very early stage, and we’d urge people to avoid the area as road closures are in place.
“Officers will remain in the area throughout today.
“If you saw anything, or have mobile phone, doorbell or dashcam footage, get in touch with us as soon as possible via 101 or Live Chat, quoting 3288.”
MP for Wolverhampton South East, Pat McFadden said he was “shocked” to hear of the shooting in his constituency.
He posted on X: “Investigations are at an early stage.
“I would encourage anyone with any information that might be relevant to contact the police.”
