X Factor star reveals he’ll be a dad for the second time via surrogate – as he reveals baby’s gender
X FACTOR star David Heath has revealed he’s set to become a dad for the second time — with a baby due this summer via surrogate.
David, 39, who shot to fame in 2006 as part of boyband Eton Road, shared the heartwarming news on Instagram with boyfriend Samuel Paul and their one-year-old son, Jude.
Posting a sweet announcement, David wrote: “Chapter 2… June 2025.
“The secret is finally out and baby number 2 is on their way, we couldn’t be happier! Your dads and big brother can’t wait to meet you.”
The post was accompanied by hashtags like #scousedads #gayfamily #babyannouncement, as fans and friends rushed to congratulate the pair.
The couple later revealed they were having a baby girl and thanked their surrogate, Sarah.
Alongside a video of their gender reveal party, David said: “We’re having a……… We couldn’t be happier!
“We’ve been through so much as a family this last couple of months and it was so nice to have something positive to happen.
“17 weeks and counting and things just started feeling real.
“As always, we couldn’t have done this without Sarah, our absolute rock in all of this and the selfless choice her and her family made when they offered to help us have a family of our own.”
Thank you to everybody involved in making the day as special as it was and all our cards and gifts for baby’s arrival.
David and Samuel, who first welcomed baby Jude Arblaster Heath in July 2023, have been open about their journey to fatherhood.
At the time, they shared a touching black-and-white video of their newborn, writing: “Our miracle entered the world on 23.07.23 weighing 7.6lbs. You’re everything and more we could have dreamed of.”
The couple even posed for a stunning photoshoot with their surrogate, documenting every step of the pregnancy with their followers.
David, who now runs Attitude Dance, a dance and fitness studio in Bootle, and hosts the Scouse Dads podcast, has embraced his new chapter as a parent.
Before baby Jude’s arrival, the couple excitedly prepared for their growing family, sharing updates of home renovations and baby clothes.
They wrote just before Jude’s birth: “It’s become very real with the house renovation and deep clean all done (nesting as they say) and the baby clothes all washed ready to style it out. July is going to be the best month for the rest of our lives xx.”
David rose to fame on The X Factor in 2006, reaching fifth place with Eton Road.
