The Best Fight During The Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Card Is Getting A Rematch On Netflix
If you’re reading this, there’s a decent chance you watched Jake Paul “box” Mike Tyson this past November. There’s also a good chance Paul vs. Tyson wasn’t your favorite match of the night.
According to Netflix, 108 million people tuned in live to see the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson event. If you managed to avoid the worst of the streaming issues caused by so many people livestreaming concurrently on Netflix, then you’ll know the entire boxing event was a mixed bag. The highlight of the night? Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano.
Taylor vs. Serrano was competitive, hard-hitting, and exciting to watch. Even the drama of the fight’s controversial decision—even if you disagree with who won—added to the fight’s memorable nature. Out of the four fights streamed on Netflix that night, this is the one most people would want to see again. Wisely, Netflix is giving us a rematch!
Katie Taylor will once again step into the squared circle with Amanda Serrano on July 11th, 2025. The fight will take place at “The World’s Most Famous Arena,” Madison Square Garden. Not only that, but the entire fight card will be women’s matches only. This will make it the first ever all-women’s professional boxing card to take place at MSG.
The upcoming match won’t be the first time Taylor and Serrano have clashed at Madison Square Garden. Their first match against each other took place at the illustrious venue on April 30th, 2022. The Taylor vs. Serrano match headlined the show that night, a first for women’s boxing at MSG.
At the time, their 2022 fight was considered the biggest women’s boxing match ever. Then, their second fight—the one aired on Netflix in 2024—became the “most-watched women’s sports event in US history” with approximately 74 million viewers (as reported by Netflix).
So, regardless of what you think about Netflix’s previous boxing event, this next one is going to be huge. It might not have the spectacle of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, but that’s a good thing. Less of a focus on the spectacle means there will be a greater importance placed on the boxing. This is good for the sport, and it’s amazing for women’s boxing specifically. Not to mention, it has the potential to be the biggest payday ever for female fighters.
Taylor vs. Serrano III is going to be a war. If you know the history between them (no spoilers here, because their previous fights are available to watch in full), then you’ll know that Amanda Serrano has something to prove. Go watch their previous battles and get ready. On July 11th, at Madison Square Garden and on Netflix, Taylor and Serrano will end their trilogy with a bang!
