Chris Pratt Reveals That He ‘Made a Deal With God’ to Save His & Anna Faris’ Son Jack
Chris Pratt is getting quite vulnerable, specifically with opening up about relying on his faith amid a trying time with his son Jack.
In an interview with the Christian Post, Pratt talked about when his son Jack was born. Back in 2012, he and his then-wife Anna Faris’ son Jack was born seven weeks premature, weighing only 3 pounds and 10 ounces at birth, and was treated at the NICU.
He said, “He had all of these issues going on. I prayed hard to God. I was in a season of transition spiritually at that time, and didn’t quite fully understand. I made a deal with God again: ‘I’m sorry, God, here I am again, asking for your grace again.'”
He added, “He really saved my son, and that was the moment [my faith] was cemented. My heart softened, and my faith hardened, That was the moment that I was like, ‘Moving forward, I’m going to give my platform to God.'”
For those who don’t know, Pratt and his now-wife Katherine Schwarzenegger welcomed three children together named Lyla Maria, born in Aug 2020, Eloise Christina, born in May 2022, and a son named Ford, born in Nov 2024. As previously stated, Pratt also has a son named Jack, born on Aug 2012, with his ex-wife Faris.
Now, this isn’t the first time Pratt has talked about his faith, and how he relied on his faith while Jack was in the NICU.
“We were scared for a long time,” he said to People in 2014. “We prayed a lot. It restored my faith in God, not that it needed to be restored, but it really redefined it. The baby was so beautiful to us, and I look back at the photos of him and it must have been jarring for other people to come in and see him, but to us he was so beautiful and perfect.”
