The result in the recently concluded Greenland elections came as a setback to the ambitions of US President Donald Trump, who proposed to make Greenland a part of the US ahead of the March 11 election. Besides the Demokraatit Party, Naleraq, another pro-independence party, also witnessed a rise in its popularity in the recently-held general election.
