Dylan Efron Reveals Major 'Star Wars' Role He Auditioned For (Exclusive)
Dylan Efron is opening up about the prospects of getting into acting and a big role he auditioned for in the past.
The 33-year-old The Traitors star, and winner, is no stranger to Hollywood as he has grown up with his older brother Zac Efron being in movies and TV shows for many years.
While he has opted for more behind-the-scenes roles in the past, he has been in front of the camera more often over the last few years, from appearing on Zac‘s Netflix series Down to Earth and making vlogs and documentaries on his YouTube channel.
During an upcoming appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast with Amanda Hirsch, Dylan revealed he actually auditioned for a pretty big role in the Star Wars franchise several years ago.

“I’m open to anything. I like proving myself wrong, so I’d love to try acting. I’d love to be on another show. I want to just keep…” Dylan said about what he wants to do next.
He was then asked if he’s ever auditioned for an acting role.
“I auditioned for Star Wars way back in the day, which was hilarious,” he revealed. “It was when Star Wars first revamped and there were, I don’t know the, he was the lead character… This was like 10 years ago, or seven years ago.”
Dylan mentioned that he was working for Warner Bros at the time, and he got reached out to for the audition.
“They were like, ‘We want someone that’s not an actor, that’s like new,’ and they asked me to do it, and it went really well. It was super fun, so that’s why I know I would be into [acting], I’ve just never tried it,” he dished. “That was probably [the closest I've been]. Now, I definitely have done some self tapes and have more of a grasp on it all.”
It appears that Dylan was referring to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was released in 2015, and starred Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and more.
