Justin Bieber Sparks Outrage From Taylor Swift Fans
Pop superstars Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber had a pretty memorable feud back in 2019, and Swifties seem to think that Bieber reignited that feud with a post on Instagram last week.
Back in 2019, accused both him and his then-manager Scooter Braun of bullying her, after Scooter purchased Big Machine Records, which owned most of the original master recordings of her songs.
In a blog post at the time, Taylor claimed that she was never given the choice to buy the masters herself and she was "sad and grossed out" that they are now owned by Scooter, claiming it is her "worst case scenario." This whole situation led to Swift re-recording all of her old albums so that she could own the master tracks.
In the 2019 blog post, Taylor also called out Bieber, who had previously posted a photo on Instagram that showed him FaceTiming Scooter and her other nemesis, Kanye West, with the caption "Taylor swift what up."
This post from Taylor prompted a lengthy Instagram post from Bieber in which he apologized for the "hurtful" post on Instagram, admitting that it was "distasteful and insensitive," but he also defended Scooter.

"Scooter has had your back since the days you graciously let me open up for you.! As the years have passed we haven’t crossed paths and gotten to communicate our differences, hurts or frustrations. So for you to take it to social media and get people to hate on scooter isn’t fair. What were you trying to accomplish by posting that blog? seems to me like it was to get sympathy u also knew that in posting that your fans would go and bully scooter," the post said.
"Anyway, One thing i know is both scooter and i love you. I feel like the only way to resolve conflict is through communication. So banter back and fourth online i dont believe solves anything. I’m sure Scooter and i would love to talk to you and resolve any conflict, pain or or any feelings that need to be addressed. Neither scooter or i have anything negative to say about you we truly want the best for you. I usually don’t rebuttal things like this but when you try and deface someone i loves character thats crossing a line.."
That all happened over five years ago, but Taylor Swift fans seem to think that Bieber reignited that controversy last week.
On Thursday night, Bieber shared a photo of the eerie "Blood Moon" lunar eclipse to his Instagram story. In the post, Bieber fittingly added the 2014 Taylor Swift track "Bad Blood."

While this might seem harmless enough and could even be interpreted as a positive nod to the global pop sensation, many Swifties didn't take it that way.
The big problem, as Swifties were quick to point out on social media, is that Bieber did not use "Taylor's Version" that she owns after her recent re-record. Instead, he used the original 2014 version, which she does not own.
"We can tell that he's still supporting Scooter by the version of the song. Not surprising tho," one fan wrote on X.
"He’s using a non Taylor’s version on purpose, please don’t fall for this. He’s still trashy," another fan wrote.
"we don't need that rat's stolen version supporting," someone else commented.
"He is disgusting," another fan added.
"ofc it's the stolen version," someone else said.
It's not clear whether or not this was intentional shade from Bieber, but Swifties clearly took it that way.
