When Does March Madness Start? What is the Game Schedule?
The First Four games of the 2025 NCAA March Madness will happen on March 18 and 19. Here's when the rest of the rounds happen.
- First Round games are on March 20 and 21.
- Second Round games are on March 22 and 23.
- Sweet Sixteen games are on March 27 and 28.
- Elite Eight games are on March 29 and 30.
- The Final Four starts on April 5.
- The Championship will happen on April 7.

How Can You Watch the NCAA March Madness Live?
The entire tournament will air on CBS Sports, TNT Sports, TBS, and TruTV.
However, 24 games will be streamed on CBS and Paramount+. All games airing on TBS, CBS, TNT, and TruTV can also be seen on Max. This is why if you hit up Max right now it will say you can watch "select games" on that platform.
TruTV will 100 percent have 21 specific games: The first four, Elite Eight, Sweet 16, and first and second-round games.
TNT will air 12 games, including the First and Second round matchups.
How Can You Stream March Madness Without Cable?
If you don't have cable, you'll need both a Max subscription and a Paramount+ with Showtime subscription to watch the entire tournament. Alternatively, you can sign up for Hulu with Live TV or YouTube TV.
