OG&E gears up for tree planting & seedling giveaway March 27

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Oklahoma Gas & Electric Company (OG&E) is gearing up to support local tree planting and seedling giveaway events assisting tornado-impacted communities starting in Choctaw for Arbor Week.
According to OG&E officials, Arbor Week is a tree planting drive set to begin in Choctaw on March 27. OG&E employees and volunteers will be hands-on planting trees and distributing free seedlings to help restore the area’s tree canopy following the recent tornado damage.

- Location: Choctaw Creek Park, 2001 Harper St., Choctaw, OK 73020
- Date: Thursday, March 27
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Choctaw residents can expect distribution of free seedling trees from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. *while supplies last
- OG&E volunteers will planting trees in Choctaw Creek Park from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
OG&E says, its partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation is an initiative that will donate and plant 670 trees across its service area, including Coyle, Drumright, Langston, Poteau, Shady Point, Sulphur, and Wellston.
