Lobster roll brand launches Capital Region food truck
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Cousins Maine Lobster has launched a new food truck in the Capital Region. The brand is known for its wild-caught Maine lobster rolls.
The Albany-area food truck is owned by brothers Yunus and Thameem Shahul, who now manage 23 Cousins Maine Lobster food trucks across the country. The brothers debuted the Albany food truck on March 22 at KBC Beer in Mayfield.
“The passion that we have for this brand is shared by our customers, and as we continue to grow with Cousins Maine Lobster, this expansion is a natural next step in the region," said Yunus Shahul. "We can’t wait to serve our signature Maine lobster to our new neighbors, provide new job opportunities and build lasting connections in this vibrant community.”
Cousins Maine Lobster was founded in 2012 by cousins Jim Tselikis and Sabin Lomaca. The brand gained national recognition after appearing on "Shark Tank" and partnering with Barbara Corcoran. The brand currently has four brick-and-mortar restaurants, over 50 food trucks, and ships its products across the United States.
The Albany food truck menu features Maine and Connecticut lobster rolls, lobster grilled cheese, lobster tots, lobster tacos, shrimp tacos, lobster quesadillas, lobster bisque, New England clam chowder and more. You can view the full menu on the Cousins Maine Lobster website.
The food truck has several Capital Region stops scheduled including in Clifton Park, Whitehall, Kinderhook, and East Greenbush. You can find the full food truck schedule on the Cousins Maine Lobster website.
